Brooklands Academy caters for students in the age range of 11 to 19.
In-Year Admissions
All in-year applications should be made direct to Brooklands Academy. The Guidelines and In-Year Application Form are below.
Admission to Brooklands Academy for your child. This form should be completed if you are seeking admission to Brooklands Academy in years 7-11 after the normal point of admission (year 7 in September). Parents should be aware that this is an oversubscribed school with more applicants than places available and that every year many parents are unsuccessful in their application for a place.
If your child has an Education, Health, and Care Plan EHCP, please do not complete this form. Contact must be made through Local Authority Special Needs team on 01908 253414 who will advise on the admissions process.
To enable the application to be processed we require confirmation of your child’s date of birth, and proof that you and your child are living at the address stated on the application form. Brooklands Academy reserves the right to make its own enquiries to verify any information supplied on admission application forms. If the school discovers that a place has been given to a child based on false, inaccurate, or misleading information, it will withdraw the place.
Prospective applicants should note that it is not Brooklands Academy’s policy to allocate a place for a child to a year above or below that of the child’s chronological age.
For your application to be considered, all sections of the form must be completed and the appropriate documentation enclosed. Failure to do so will result in a delay in processing the application.
Where no place is available you will be advised in writing and informed of your right to request an independent appeal. Further information on the appeal process can be found below. Verbal or telephone applications will not be considered.

In-Year Appeals
Parents have the right to appeal a decision not to award their child a place at Brooklands Academy. An appeal form and parental guidelines can be found below.
All forms, together with any supporting documents, should then be returned to the Clerk Associates c/o Brooklands Academy, Fen Street, Brooklands, Milton Keynes, MK10 7HE
In-year appeals can be made within 14 days of receiving a letter from Brooklands Academy stating no availability of spaces. In-year appeals will be heard within 30 school days from the date the appeal application was received by the school.
If unsuccessful at independent appeal, there is no right to a second appeal on subsequent applications within the same academic year, unless the school, in accepting the application, considers that there has been a significant and material change in circumstances that alters the application within the oversubscription criteria.
